After spending years playing organized sports throughout her youth and college years, Amy decided she wanted to elevate her passion for fitness and health into her career. After receiving her B.A from Hamilton College, Amy completed her M.Ed in Sports Administration from Temple University. She spent time working for Temple’s athletic recreation department, was the Director of Marketing for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and opened two store locations for lululemon athletica. All throughout those years, Amy was a certified Spin instructor, an IMX Pilates Reformer instructor, and Power Pilates certified.
After having her daughter in the Fall of 2010, Amy decided to devote more time to her new family while continuing her love for teaching fitness classes. Shortly after her daughter was born, Amy moved to the Main Line and teaching classes quickly transformed into fulfilling her dream of owning her own Barre studio. Barre Focus Fitness™ in Haverford, PA opened in February of 2012 and has been an exciting journey from day one. In addition to Barre Focus Fitness™, Amy is proud co-owner (with Haverford instructors Eliakim and Jill) of Focus Barre & Yoga located in Center City, Philadelphia.
When Amy is not at the Haverford or Center City studios, she can be found laughing and loving life with her three beautiful children (Gracie, 5; Noah, 3; Henry, 1) and with her amazingly supportive husband, Dan, in their home in Ardmore, PA.
